MythTV based on Ubuntu with XBMC added. Basically it is a fully setup Linux system with all of the necessary script changes and sudoers authorities completed. So with minimal setup requirements the user will have an excellent HTPC based on the Ubuntu 10.04 base.

I have noticed that when exiting MythTV to return to the MythWelcome screen, using the remote, it is necessary to use the right arrow key after selecting Yes, Exit now. May be necessary to complete this procedure twice for it to work. Using the OK button causes it to loop back to the main menu.
MythWelcome screen randomly displays that it is locked. Solution, go out of the screen and return, now allows unlocking of the screen.
These problems have been reported to MythTV.
The amd64 software has changes made that are specific to this version. These changes have made it more stable and seem to work very well. This is the version I am using on my HTPC.
