EeeMC is a Linux distribution based on Ubuntu with MythTV and XBMC.
With minimal setup requirements the user will have an excellent HTPC based on the latest release Ubuntu 10.04. Released in i386 platform, should have amd64 available in a couple of days.
What's New in This Release:
· Now based on Ubuntu 10.04 and MythTV .23.
· Includes a 15 band Graphic Equaliser. I have been testing this set up with my Logitech Z-5500 Digital 5.1 Speaker System and the sound quality is incredible, far better than my Window’s setup using the same speakers.
· With the Graphic Equaliser you will need to connect a keyboard to your HTPC to setup different sound configurations, and to set your base sound levels.
· Switching between MythTV and XBMC is controlled by the DVD button on the remote.
· Dedicated EeeMC theme.
· This theme is attractive and functional. I will look at a selection of backgrounds in the near future for people who do not like black.

This software selection is new for MythTV .23. I have not noticed any real loss in quality, probably because of the Graphic Equaliser. This is the first time I have been able to control Volume and Muting , using the remote, with a Sound Card. Using OSS allows this control, but is not compatible with XBMC.
